Benefit From Professional, Trusted Dog Training

At Dori Dog Training, Dori has replicated successful dog training results thousands of times in Central Pennsylvania. Dori has developed his own stencil to outline every dog he touches to achieve a highly desired temperament. Using safe and remarkable techniques commonly found all over the world, he is able to turn the most aggressive, reactive, anxious, nervous, or confidence-lacking behaviors into calm, stable, and fun relationships with their owners.

We offer one-on-one private training, both at home and at our facility, as well as board and train programs with a lifetime support guarantee. Call (570) 927-2606 today to get started.

Foundation Training and More

While no two dogs train the same way, there are desired behaviors that we like to focus on during the initial phases of training:

  • Walk calmly with a loose lead at all times
  • Stay in “place”, or a bed, and ignore all distractions until released by the handler
  • Basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and come

These commands and protocols will vary from dog to dog, and some dogs may endure a “foundation” period that consists of fewer commands and focuses on achieving a calm temperament. If you have custom training goals, we can definitely help you meet them.

Behavior Modification

After foundation training, we focus on teaching your dog to be calmer and more confident around distractions. If your dog does not like men, cars, grooming, trucks, etc., we will directly target those triggers for the sake of teaching your dog how to accept them in a relaxed manner. Off-leash training is typically included with this part of training.

Our Behavior Assessment is Your Dog’s First Day of Training

During a one-on-one behavior assessment with Dori, your relationship with your dog will be evaluated, and you will be offered training techniques and protocols to practice at home to solve any dog behavioral issues. During the assessment, you will watch firsthand as Dori handles your dog while learning about the techniques that he uses. Having completed thousands of behavior assessments, Dori will offer immediate advice on which changes you need to make, and what your dog needs to learn in order to reach your training goals. Scheduling a behavior assessment is not an obligation to training but is mandatory before training can begin.

In order to be scheduled for a behavior assessment, you must complete our behavior assessment intake form, which allows Dori to get an inside perspective on the day-to-day behaviors your dog exhibits. During your behavior assessment, you will be able to ask personalized questions about your dog or questions about dog behavior in general.

The cost of a behavior assessment is $300 per dog and will last 60-90 minutes.

Behavior assessments are available at home for an additional time and travel fee. Anyone wishing to be scheduled for a behavior assessment should click on the link below and complete their intake form with as much detail as possible. After you complete your form in full, we will contact you to schedule your assessment.
